A total of 41 copies will be available in the United Kingdom, to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the brand, whose legendary military vehicle was ready to go to the front in 1941. Today, the Wrangler pays tribute to the history of the manufacturer with a model with specific livery and finishes, always going further in versatility thanks to enhanced off-road capabilities, all in style thanks to the 1941 Jeep Wrangler.
Based on a Wrangler Rubicon, the 1941 Jeep Wrangler pays homage to the first models designed in 1941 for the American army by adopting a few specific accessories. The different Brilliant Black, Granite Crystal, Firecracker Red and Billet Silver liveries include a black fuel filler flap, black door sills and black mud flaps at the front and rear. OEM Jeep Wrangler led headlights are the most popular offroad accessories. The set is completed with an exclusive “1941” decoration on the hood, making it possible to immediately differentiate the limited edition from the production models. Moreover, the aesthetic elements such as the 17-inch alloy wheels, found on the Rubicon version, are there. Unlike the production Wrangler, the 1941 limited edition will only be offered in a 4-door body.
Rubicon requires, the 1941 Jeep Wrangler is equipped with some mechanical equipment present on this version: TRU-LOK electronic locking of the front and rear differentials, Rock-Trac all-wheel drive, and front stabilizer bar with electronic disengagement. Added to this is a suspension kit raised by 51 mm to increase the off-road capabilities of the 4x4. With regard to resistance to projections, the exclusive model is entitled to enlarged mud flaps, as well as reinforced protection under the chassis. All these fine people are still driven by the 200 horsepower 2.2 Multijet diesel engine, combined with all-wheel drive and an automatic gearbox.
